The valley near the Carthusian Monastery La Grande Chartreuse, north of Grenoble. 17,3 x 25,3 cm.*Plate 4 from "Views to illustrate the route of Mont Cenis. Drawn from nature, by Major Cockburn; and on stone, by C. Hullmandel". - Cut to the border line, removing the lithographed inscriptions. Mounted on a sheet of heavy pink paper. The plate is surrounded by a border of 5 lines in pen and black ink. At bottom lettered in pen and black ink "View near the entrance of the valley of the Grande Chartreuse".[(6165)].
