Vida y Obras De Goya, F.J. Sanchez Canton, Editorial Peninsular, Madrid, 1951, 195 pp, with 96 black and white plates in rear, colored plates, half leather, 14.5 x 10.25 , folio. In good condition. Nicely rebound in half leather likely in the 1950 s or 60 s. Convincingly bound to appear as if it was from the 19th century. Spine has odd discoloration/marking from previous rubbing. Sun faded leather with scuffing to end bands and light crushing. Gilt tooling on spine bright and clean. Leather remains soft. Corners lightly crushed and frayed. Light bubbling at top edge of front board. Fresh marbled end papers. Front gutter cracked. Light toning to text with a few instances of foxing. Deckled end lightly toned. Complete. Binding intact.
