hardback, five volumes complete with an Index making six in total, published for subscribers between 1900 and 1912 in a uniform binding of red cloth lettered and blocked gilt, top edges gilt, , the bindings are in poor condition with the backstrip of volume four being broken in two (both parts are present and could be laid down to a new casing, the lower joint of volume five is split, rubbed at head and tails, boards are all in a well preserved state. Internally whilst hinges are cracked the stitching remains tight and the text clean and unmarked, b&w plates.
