Dished, blue and white enamel sign; (10.5 x 30.3cm); original holes to corners, with blue outline of pre-partition India on a white disc with three decorative pendant lines, overwritten with the slogan 'Famous in India'; a representation of a gentleman's lace-up shoe; and the wording of the title in white lettering. A small white star appears in the bottom left. All within a narrow white border in which appears (in Hindi) the makers name, and place of manufacture (Aligarh) in blue. Two lower corners slightly chipped otherwise unmarked. Rare.
