This 7.0 x 9.5, xviii, 309-page book is the beautiful 1932 Literary Guild edition of this title. The book itself in at least very good condition if not better. The white imitation-vellum spine is white as snow. The blue cloth coverings do show some wear to the top and bottom edges, with a slight dent in the top front panel edge. The gilt lettering on the spine and decoration on the front panel are bright and clean. The interior of the book shows a previous owner's inked name on the ffep but beyond that the text is in probably near fine condition. The Eric Gill decorations are exceptional and the deckled fore-edges have not been worn down and are still prominent and individualized. The dust wrapper is in at least good condition. It does show a bit of sun fading, especially to the back panel, and there are a number of chips and small tears around the edges, but all in all it is still firmly in one piece. This is a very nice book and wrapper in unusually nice condition. 309 pages. Seller Inventory # 1505-492
