Dorothea Beale (1831-1906) was the formative Headmistress of Cheltenham Ladies' College from 1858 until her death. Rachel Alice Houssemayne du Boulay (1888-1983), daughter of Col Woodford du Boulay of Cheltenham, married in 1912 Capt William Haire Forster (died 1913) and, in 1921, Brigadier Henry Isherwood Allen.
