About this Item
This is an excellent collection of fairy stories and folk tales, some familiar, some less well known. There are ten full page color pictures by Eleanora Madsen and black & white drawings by Fern Bisel Peat. It is notoriously difficult to date these Saalfield books, or to be sure of edition. The copyright date in the book is 1939, and I estimate that this copy is a reprinted edition from about 1941/42. It carries the number 846 on dust jacket and rear board. The book is really near fine, with just some minor wear to corners, but internally excellent. The dust jacket is almost complete - apart from some deep chips to spine ends and corners - but it is a little ragged and worn on the edges and folds. Seller Inventory # 002195
