About the Author: Loren W. Christensen is a Vietnam veteran and retired police officer with 29 years of law enforcement experience. As a martial arts student and teacher since 1965, he has earned an 8th dan in American Free Style Karate, a 2nd dan in aiki jujitsu, and a 1st dan in Modern Arnis. He has starred in seven instructional martial arts DVDs. In 2011, Loren was inducted into the Masters Hall of Fame, garnering the Golden Lifetime Achievement Award. As a writer, Loren has worked with five publishers, penning over 50 books, nonfiction and fiction on a variety of subjects. His thriller fiction series Dukkha is popular among martial artists. He has written dozens of magazine articles on a variety of topics to include, martial arts, nutrition, bodybuilding, police tactics, survival skills, meditation, and mental imagery.
