"This 7.375 x 10.5 inch, 210 page hardcover book with dust jacket is a 1970's reprint of this title by Doubleday and Company. The book is in fine condition, with grey cloth covers and brown image decoration on the front panel and red-brown spine title with gilt lettering. There is no edge or corner wear showing. The interior shows a previous owner's inked inscription dated "Christmas 1976" on the front paste-down. Beyond that the interior is in strictly fine condition and even better, with only a hint of age toning to the paper. The book of course features the artwork of Charles Russell who tells here his own stories about his time working and wandering through the American West, and his artwork that he left behind as some of the very, very best from that era of the closing of the frontier. The dust wrapper is in near fine condition with some apparent sun-toning to the spine and edges of the jacket but with very little wear or chipping to the paper.
