The First Edition Library's perfect facsimile of Steinbeck's first commercially successful novel. The book feels tight and new, probably unread. The dust jacket has noticeable fading and some wear to spine, one tear about 1/2 inch long on rear panel, repaired with archival tissue. The slipcase has light wear at corners, a faint water stain on front panel, light spotting on top, very good overall. Photos are the best description. The First Edition Library published exact facsimiles of desirable first editions, down to the smallest details- cloth, paper, binding, and first edition points were identical to the original. The information card (points card) supplied by First Edition Library with information about the writing and publishing of the book is not present, but a color copy on similar paper will be provided (pictured).
