FRONTSIDE( see 1st. photo) : Size of image: 28,2 x 21,5 cm ( 11,5" x 8,77"), size of cardbord : 36, 3 x 27,5cm ( 14,81" x 11,22") Photograph by ADRIEN BONFILS (1861 - 1928), son of Felix Bonfils and member of the famous photographer family MAISON BONFILS originally from France, working in Beirut from the 1860ies. From 1878 on Adrien Bonfils undertook the photographing, while his parents ran the studio. Title , photographer's credit ( A.Bonfils, Beyrouth) and number 14 in negative. Very good tonal range and clear impression. Minimal foxing on margins of cardboard, hardly visible on photograph. - ON VERSO another photograph: 52. LE CAIRE, TOMBEAUX DES MAMELUKS.Signature, serial number and title in the negative. This photograph is with some foxing in left top corner, otherwise only mildly.- Shipping incl. worldwide.
