Tom Brown s School Days. By Thomas Hughes and printed in London by Macmillan and Co. Bound and custom stamped for Eggar s Grammar School, Elton, Hampshire, England. 1902, 308 pp, 7.25 x 5.25 , 8vo, full leather hardcover. In overall very god condition, with minimal rubbing and wear to boards and spine. Hinges remain tight and text block remains bound well. Filled with numerous black-and-white illustrations throughout. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear, primarily to tissue guard and title page. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A semi-autobiographical piece by Thomas Hughes (1822-1896) on his school experiences growing up. Custom bound for Eggar s School, which has operated since 1640. COLT1904CEFJ-0723-aj0286.
