The story is told by Boots, a black Aberdeen terrier very similar to those owned by Kipling over the years which obviously inspired his verse "The Power of the Dog". Boots lives in London with his master. While walking in the park they meet another Aberdeen named Slippers, owned by a young woman, (Polly). With illustrations by G. L. Stampa. This is a leather bound 7th impression of the 1st edition hardback in good condition-the are 6 small holes in the leather spine / the leather of the cover is slightly rubbed / the previous owners name is on the inside cover.
