Cover corners show minor wear, some pages show manufacturing "veining" to the paper. With the bookplate of Cleveland, Ohio based book collector, William G. Mather (1857-1951), on the front paste-down endpaper. Scarce book. First published in 1918, near the close of World War One. After death communications from a soldier to his mother.
