Large octavo in blindstamped bl;ack cloth with cover lettering gilt. 167 pps. with index. 18 folding plates, some with color highlights. Further illustrated throughout with drawings and diagrams. A tight copy, gilt lettering bright. all plates clean, contemporary pencil signature and several very light notations (mostly mathematical) on the front free endpaper. There is loss to the cloth overlay in spots about the edges and corners as well as along the gutters.
