About this Item
A heavily illustrated book on Haiti by the famous Haitian poet Oswald Durand (1840- 1906). Book itself with a small tear to foot of spine, a little browning to covers, but otherwise in genuinely nice condition, with illustrations clean and bright. Text replete with coloured and b&w illustrations by artist Yves Trevedy, including 12 full coloured plates (including frontispiece). Housed in a yellow hardbacked folder, title to spine. Folder with a dent to foot of spine, minor foxing on lower board, slight tears along spine, and a small scrape to top outer corner of front pastedown and lower outer corner of back pastedown. Limited edition of 750 copies, this copy numbered 358. One of 650 copies on Marais Crevecoeur. In very nice condition. 141 p. Seller Inventory # 303
