Very Good in the publisher's pebbled black cloth with a black leather backstrip. The spine is decoratively gold-tooled; the front and rear boards in blind. Raised bands on the spine. All page-edges gilt. White moire silk endpapers. [iv], 360pps., with numerous woodcut illustrations and a fold-out map of Cote Occidentale du Groenland. First French Edition. There is moderate rubbing wear to the board-edges, particularly to the tips and, less significantly, in the area of the joints. Internally, there is only light foxing: most of this is in the area of the endpapers. A small, previous owner's blindstamp is impressed on the title-page and there is a label (Libreria Nacional Sevilla-Madrid) affixed to the upper corner of the second fep. The map has a 1" closed tear. Otherwise clean, bright, and tightly bound. A narrative of a ship's expedition along the coast of Greenland.
