Side folding tabloid format newspaper. 16 pp. Black and white illustrations throughout. Single issue of this underground newspaper embracing radical, left wing and socialist causes (with a Marxist-Leninist bent). Originating as the Temple Free Press at Temple University it evolved from a college newspaper to a radical paper under the editorship of Bill Baggins. This issue with news on the arrest of activist Sam Pressley, who was active in the Steering Committee for Black Students; news on the protests in Berkeley that resulted in the killing of a protestor; a proposal for an Afro-Asian Institute at Temple, etc. GOOD condition. Moderate toning to the paper. Horizontal fold crease present. Minor edgewear. Two inch tear to the front page at the right edge of the horizontal fold. Seller Inventory # 019021
