Bound in mustard cloth with titles and decoration stamped in black. No additional printings. 239 pages. Title 2 in this series. Early printing of this title, listing only three "Teen-Age" titles on the rear panel of the dust wrapper and a single title, "Jerry Dowd, Fraternity Man", also published in 1947, on the rear flap. The first "Teen-Age" title, "Companion", was published in 1946; this was followed by three more in the 1947, only two of which are listed on this book. See photos for the titles listed on the rear panel; which do not include "Teen-Age Stories of the West". The cloth shows only a touch of edgewear, with slight creasing near the top of the front cover (see photos). Internally, the book is clean, tight and unmarked, with solid hinges and a square binding. The dust wrapper has light edgewear and rubbing only; it is not chipped or price-clipped. McBride states that Lantern Press books with no additional printings are first editions; we will let the buyer decide. Unlike the previous title, this book has no title page date to indicate first edition status, but it may be that Lantern discontinued this practice in 1947.
