Synopsis: This is the definitive full-colour guide to the international fleet of sailing ships. This newly revised fourth edition combines photographs and descriptions of more than 200 vessels, including the major class 'A' ships along with many class 'B' and 'C' vessels from around the world. Major photographs of each are supplemented by detailed images that range from figureheads and binnacles to flags and rigging. The text describes each vessel, its history and notable events under sail, along with its technical specifications. This unique guide is an ideal resource for everyone fascinated by tall ships and their history and traditions.

Product Description: Few things on the high seas are more dramatic than the great clouds of sail raised by traditional full-rigged ships. Tall Ships features some of the world?s most magnificent tall ships in photographs by Thad Koza. Sales benefit the American Sail Training Association, a nonprofit group that organizes sail training activities in American waters. Sail ho!
