Hardcover with dustjacket, contains twelve of the tales from 'Nights and Uncle Remus,' features several color plates and black and white illustrations by Milo Winter and an Introduction by Julia Collier Harris, dughter-in-law of the author, "in which she pictures vividly the boyhood of Joel Chandler Harris and the background of his Uncle Remus folklore," the red cloth binding is bright except for a small area near the top of the front cover that is darkened, the end-papers are soiled and there are a small number of pages that have mild soiling/foxing that is mainly confined to the margins leaving the text and illustrations fresh, the jacket has edge-wear and wear along the spine, some loss at the spine-tips also, the front panel color illustration is in nice shape, the original price (1.50) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included.
