Tokyo: Akiyama Buemon, 1897. Color woodblock print on sheet measuring 248 x 370 mm. Light creasing and age toning, two small patches of discoloration; very good. § An attractive woodblock print of two young boys with bamboo sticks and woven hoops from a series on children's manners and customs. The artist Shuntei Miyagawa (1873-1914) trained with the woodblock artist Tomioka Eisen and specialized in documenting the everyday activities of women and children in well-to-do families during the Meiji period.
