Book condition - Good; contents clean, no inscriptions, no foxing, some offsetting on front and back flyleaves, binding is sound with inner hinges intact. : original, green cloth wtih title in gilt on spine ; corners worn but edges intact, back clean but mottled, back hinge intact, spine complete but with splitting at ends, minor repair at base of spine with inner strengthening (neatly done), spine clean with complete gilt, front hinge intact, front board clean but badly mottled. Contents include Advantages of Keeping a Cow, Breeds of Cattle Buying Cows, Points in a Good Cow, Food, House and Utensils, Washing, Grooming and Exercise, Bulls, Dry Cows, Management of Cows When Calving, Barren Cows, Age of Cattle, Price of Cattle, Milk, Butter, Ghee, Grazing Fields, Some Common Complaints, Dangerous but not Contagious Diseases, Contagious and Fatal Diseases, Indigenous Drugs with their Vernacular Names, Breeder's Table, Indian Names of Some Cattle Diseases, etc. A good, original copy marred only by the discolouration on the boards.
