Very rare first edition 1938 - good clean firm interior showing just light shelfwear overall for the age, stunning illustrations by the author including a f/p, neat inscription to front e/paper, no usage marks just a tiny age mark to the very edge of border to p.11-18 - light tone line-marks to e/papers, pictorial boards are in excellent bright firm condition; d/j toned/browned in parts as shown, chipping/nicks to spine area and corners, but decent appearance mainly for the publish date with bright frontage and all intact, no large loss/tears, covered with a new removable sleeve-protector, not price-clipped./.
