About this Item
The Paternoster Library, volume VI. Translated from the French of Etienne Dumont. Purple boards with gilt lettering on the spine and front cover. Covers are well thumbed and rubbed, with large swathes of white discolouration front, back and spine. Head and tail of spine bumped, corners smooth and bear some heavy wear and tear. Spine sunned and faded, this bleeds onto front and back covers. Previous owner's inscription on front free endpaper. Free endpapers, pastedowns, title pages and most pages throughout bear moderate foxing and discolouration. Previous bookseller's stamp upon front pastedown. Page edges are moderately discoloured, particularly at the head edge. Binding is tidy, yet split mid-way. Spine slightly cocked. This book is in fair condition. *We always describe the faults of our books meticulously; they usually present better than they sound. Seller Inventory # PHI032
