Modern Readers' Series The cover is lighter green than the quarter cover, the spine is brown leather with gilt lettering. One corner is bumped, the top of the spine and edge of the spine has shelf wear with a small bit of the leather missing at the bottom, the trimmed head is gilt. The front end papers (which are blue and natural colored) have faded to a ghost image of sailing ships, there is also the former owners stamp. The frontispiece is Art Deco with chessboard "design" of images, and there is also an Art Deco "design" around the title page. The interior is a little age yellowed, but very clean and bright. 372 pp. Seller Inventory # 000372
