Significant content on Mexico, Egypt, Russia, Syria, Persia (Iran), Burma (Birman Empire), China & Japan. There is a little Australian & Antarctic content -mostly population updates & description of New South Wales, Van Diemen's Land and South Australia. There is a 4 paragraph description of Capt. James Clark Ross' departure from England in 1839 on the Erebus and Terror to explore the Antarctic, and the discovery of South Victoria Land. 8vo, 104pp. Self wrappers, string bound.
