Sunshine and Shadow in New York. By Matthew Hale Smith and printed in Hartford, Connecticut by J.B. Burr and Company. 1868, 718 pp, 9 x 6 , 8vo, hardcover cloth binding. In good condition, with minor rubbing and wear to boards and spine. Some fading to lettering on spine, along with small tears to binding along edges. Hinges remain in good condition and text block is bound well. Ex-libris bookplate remnants at front of book, along with light marginalia and markings. Small burn mark hole to bottom of page 367/8. Includes periodic black-and-white illustrations throughout. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing.
