"This 5.625 x 8.375 inch, 130 page hardcover book with dust wrapper is the first edition of this title by New Directions Books in 1948, with "First Edition" stated on the copyright page. This book is in very good condition with a good dust wrapper now in a mylar sleeve. The blue-grey cloth covers with black lettering on the spine show only a bit of edge wear but there is some wear at the corners. There appears to be a touch of discoloration to the blue-grey cloth but this may be its true color. The interior text shows a previous owner's bookplate on the ffep and an inked inscription "Almost unbearable in its sensitivity and poignancy" on the half-title page. Beyond that the text is in at least very good condition with only a bit of time and handling wear to be seen. The book has the four black-and-white photographs. The dust jacket shows considerable time wear as there is chipping along the top and bottom edges, wear, chipping, and several missing pieces from the jacket at the folds - - with a largish one-inch by half-inch piece missing at the bottom of the spine. The jacket has the curious clipped corners, the $2.75 price still showing, and the three titles by Tennessee Williams listed on the back jacket flap. 130 pages.". Seller Inventory # 1505-773
