About this Item
With three portraits - of Dante Gabriel Rossett, Algernon Charles Swinburne and the author. The first two are chromatic reproductions of original paintings, the last is of a photograph. Limited edition of a publication of 360 copies in various formats. This one is No. 179 of those 250 versions printed on Abbey Mill Antique paper (image). As one might expect, this is an elegantly curated book with carefully chosen typography and font, tissue guards, uncut pages etc. The cloth boards are deep crimson red in colour with suitably refined titles (in gilt; also repeated at the head of the spine) on the upper board. Condition: boards a little faded in places and the titles on the spine are faint. Internally, the pages are mildly to moderately tanned with occasional spotting; more evident on the preliminary and final ones. Tissue guards very tanned. pp. 83/175 x 225 mm. Please note that, depending on destination, we may request an additional payment to cover any extra shipping/postage charges. Proceeds to Amnesty International. Abe2345.
