Previous onwer's name on flyleaf. The book is slightly cocked. *** CONTENTS: This lively take on a junior school for boys appears to have been written by a female teacher; the first part is to do with various aspects of education in the nineteenth century (various traits to be encouraged, including the use of Cricket in education) and the second part appears to be aspects of school life from a pupil's perspective.
