Green cloth with dark green lettering. Minor bump to head and heel of spine. Text is clean and bright, no marks, save darkened area to front endpaper from inserted newspaper clipping, lovely vintage bookplate neatly adhered to front endpaper. Unclipped DJ with $1.50 price is battered, large tear to rear panel, rubbing to all edges, several chips to both upper and lower edges. "This is the true story of an American Navy doctor, who got his wounded men out of Java through the turmoil of the Japanese invasion.
