Book Description F. J. Ram Publisher, London, Ontario, 1976. Hardback. 2nd Edition. Quarto Size [approx 24cm x 30.5cm]. Very Good+ condition in Very Good Dustjacket. DJ has some very light wear to spine ends & is now protected in purpose-made plastic sleeve. A nice copy. Illustrated with Black and White Photographs. B/w fold-out map to rear. The publisher has used an odd page numbering system that has pages 21 and 21a etc variously through the book - so while the page numbers say 125 there are more pages than this because of the use of the "a" numbering. Unpaginated [see note in description] A composite record of actual railroading in the peninsula between Lakes Huron and Ontario. Bookseller Inventory # 281561

Book Description F. J. Ram, London, Ontario, Canada, 1975. Hard Cover. Book Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good +. Photographs (illustrator). First Edition. 8.75 x 11.75 in. (22cm x 29.5cm). [xxiv]. 125 pages, plus many, many pages of halftone plates; fold-out map. Profusely illustrated with historical photographs. Turquoise buckram with black lettering on spine. Tight and clean, shows little or no wear, appears vg or better; internally also clean, however at one time something fused the last pages' upper corner margins; these have been separated with no effect on text or illustrations (and there is no odour), but back pages are slightly wavy and rough-surfaced at upper corner tip; ffep has also been removed. Fold out map in excellent condition. Overall, a very satisfactory and presentable reading copy in a nearly vg dust jacket; some wear and tear, but nothing that will be too obvious in a new archival mylar cover. Fascinating compendium of information, illustration, anecdote, story, and fact about railroading in southwestern Ontario: "Personal Reminiscences and Accounts of Locomotives and Trains in a Concentrated Network of Rail Lines, along with their history and other pertinent technical data" (title page).
