Of note in this issue is an article on baseball, basic rules and how to play, accompanied by illustrations. This is the first of several papers that appeared in St. Nicholas. Written by Walter Camp, an athlete, coach and writer known for his many contributions to the shaping of American football into the way it is played today. Also present is an illustrated article on travels in Central Africa, etc. GOOD+ condition. Minor toning, soiling and staining to the covers.
