Hardcover; no dustjacket. This is a binding copy. It is an ex-library copy, with all the typical markings. The front hinge is completely open; and the text block has split in a couple of places (separated along signatures). But appears complete. There is binding tape from an old repair applied over the spine. Edgewear; and with bumping/wear at the corners. There is a library label on the front board and spine tail; a library donor bookplate on the front pastedown; a pocket on the rear pastedown; and a checkout slip pasted on the verso of page 261. "Discard" stamps on the page edges and title page. Plus library blind stamps on a few pages. The page edges are age-darkened. A bit of light foxing on just a couple of page (mostly the first and last couple of pages), and a small inked word at the top of page one. Else the pages are clean.
