8 1/2" x 11 1/2", 68 pp. A Very Good copy of the August 1, 1955 Ted Williams 'Sports Illustrated'. Cover is displayable though it retains an address label and has some small creases at the spine and one 2" crease in bottom right corner with a tiny chip off of the extreme tip of the corner. See photo [if you want an actual scan as well, just ask and I will email it to you]. There is also a very faint stain at the top margin which is only really visible on the "T" in Sports, where the two lines in the T meet (only a half centimeter and really isn't that noticeable); it is more noticeable inside the cover and there's faint residue for the first 8 pages or so. Also, a few tiny scrapes at the bottom edge of the cover. The pages are fine except that from page 48 to the back cover there is a gash/crease about a half cm high by 1 cm long at the upper right edge. Back cover has that corner crease and a few light stains on the bottom edge. Includes article/interview on Ted Williams along with many other articles (Ascot horse racing, the 1955 baseball season, fishing, etc.). Will be shipped in a box with inner cardboard/bubblewrap protection. See photo. Note to buyer: very faint converging lines on cover which can only be seen reflected at an angle are supposed to be there and are an original manufacturer machine mark; all original copies have them.
