A scarce account based on letters which first appeared in "The Field", of the author's five month long hunting trip to Baltistan (northern Pakistan) and Ladakh (India). The author, Sir Frederick Edward Shafto Adair, 4th Baronet (1860-1915), was a graduate of Sandhurst and Captain of the 3rd Batt. Rifle Brigade. He inherited and later sold most of the Adair Irish Ballymena estate to the tenants in 1904; he then lived at Adair Lodge, Aldeburgh (Suffolk). Contents include: A Day with the Ibex; A Day with the Burhel; A Day with the Ovis Ammon; A Day with the Goa; and A Day with the Shapoo, with the author proudly recording the length of the horns of each animal he captured. 4to, 32pp, photographic illus. of various hunting quarry.
