A vintage softcover trade catalog by the Buffalo Forge Company, 72 pages. Stapled binding with two binder holes. Gray paper wraps with the title and company information at the front cover. Printed in black and white on thick, slick paper with many illustrations and tables throughout. With two fold-out pages at the center of the catalog that have black, white and yellow illustrations as well. No publication date given. Pencil underlining and a The Library of the University of Illinois APR 17 1941 stamp to the front cover of this catalog. The glue has dried at the front of the textblock, causing the front cover and spine to separate from the textblock (see photo). 23142 stamp to the title page. Discoloration and a slight wave to the upper portion of the pages of this catalog. Slices to several of the pages, but no pages or parts of pages are missing. Otherwise, pages are clean and free of writing. The binding is tight and strong, with no loose pages. Includes descriptive sections entitled The New Turbine Principle, Brief Analysis of Steam Action, Spiro Most Compact of Prime Movers, Spiro Originality, and sections on the different parts of the Spiro Turbine, among others. Also includes descriptions of this turbine in different installations, including Spiro Turbine with Coupling for Direct Drive, Spiro Turbine with Pulley, The Spiro for direct drive of Buffalo B Volume Blowers and Exhausters, The Spiro for direct drive of Buffalo Conoidal Fans, and Spiro Disk Fan Outfits, among others.
