About this Item
Three of the first five issues of the short-lived bilingual newsletter of the Columbia University Workers, an informal group of unionized and non-unionized Columbia workers interested in developing a platform for communication between all workers. The group included a number of library workers, who were actively involved with the newsletter, and librarian Judy Lacoff appears to have been the unofficial editor. Issues discuss worker grievances, harassment and disputes with both union leadership and the university over the exclusion of unskilled and part-time workers from union membership and job security. Included are Vol. 1, No. 1, Vol. II, No. 2, and Vol. II, No. 4. All corner-stapled, 14" x 8 ½" mimeographed sheets, 6-8 p., illus. This is likely the bulk of what was published. Only Univ. of Michigan with any issue in OCLC, although we note issues at Columbia. Seller Inventory # 12334
