A brilliant young officer, Harry Smith, gallantly marries a very young spanish lady who appeals to the British Officers for protection. The two of them proceed through Wellington's campaign, affording us with a very detailed and lively account of it. One of Heyer's best historical novels, well researched. Red cloth cover with silver lettering to spine and blind stamped monogram in bottom corner of front. Colour Illustration from the front of the original dustjacket has been pasted to the front free endpaper. Spine colour very slightly faded. 8" Tall. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
