First edition. Published at 25s in November 1919. pp. xxi,376. Errata slip tipped in at p.1. With a coloured frontispiece, 87 plates, mostly from photographs, five maps, one large and folding. Some slight 'rippling' to the first four printed leaves & the frontis, the map with a small tear on the hinge, but not into printed surface. The usual browning/toning to text leaves & plate outer-margin, quite common with this book, the publisher's cloth blocked in silver, some very slighy creasing to upper spine, a few very minor marks.
