An important publication relating to non-white cricket in South Africa in the early fifties. This is the Souvenir brochure for the second Biennial Tournament under the auspices of the South Africa Cricket Board of Control, Easter 1953. The SACBC was a new ruling body that brought together teams from the Indian, Coloured, Bantu and Malay communities. Featured in the brochure are the leading figures in non-white cricket including Cec Abrahams, Ben Malamba, "Tiny" Abed and the 21-year old Basil d'Oliveira, described as an 'Agressive Batsman" below his photo. A4. 76pp + original pictorial wrappers. Ex-Auty collection with library stamp to page 1 and library mark to front cover.
