Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Boards are slightly bowed. Slight forward lean to text block. The clipped dust jacket has heavy edge wear, tears and chips. Moderate tanning to spine and edges. Moderate loss to all parts of the dust jacket. The book is in pretty much fine, unmarked condition. The d /w. has a little light edgewear to top of panels and a small crease to bottom of spine. The book tells the story of Colne in Lancashire between the years 1937-39. The author was, of course, very familiar with the area, having set his first novel "Mist over Pendle" very close by.
