A cookbook containing recipes for the food of the Somerset Club in the 1960 s. The recipes are collected in large part from chefs Françoise Lombard, Raymond Le Glaive, Denis Lippi, and Charlotte Turgeon. Includes recipes such as Anchovy Toasts, Bellevue Broth, Frogs Legs Provençale, Crabs Farcis au Diable, and more. The recipes, although complicated, are designed to be made at home. Laid in: Printed menu for a la carte menu for meals to be delivered in Boston, also unused Somerset Club stationary and envelope. Decorations for the book highlight wood engravings by John Melanson. Previous owner's bookplate. Interior and boards clean. Blue cloth covered boards with gilt spine. Near fine. Seller Inventory # 3882
