Dark green cloth covered boards with gilt decoration and lettering on front cover and spine. Dark brown endpapers. Half title page has a water stain around outside edges, as well as a pasted in newspaper clipping dated Jan. 11, 1898, Victoria BC, titled "Defied the Blizzard, Poet Joaquin Miller Reached Dawson Minus an Ear and Two Toes, in Precarious Condition." Newspaper clipping also includes an illustration of Miller. Light water stain carries faintly through outer edges much of the book.Otherwise pages are age hued and clean. 205 pp with additional pages advertising Miller's "Songs of the Sun Lands".
