This 5.75 x 8.0 inch, 192 page hardcover book with dust wrapper is the assumed first printing of this title by Harper and Brothers of New York. The copyright page shows a 1959 date but there is no specific indicator of additions. The dust wrapper shows a $6.95 price on the rear flap. This copy is in fine condition with virtually no wear showing to the blue cloth covers with black fish design on the front panel and black lettering on the spine. The cloth covers are clean, the corners sharp, and the interior text pages are also in fine condition - - with no markings or damage. There is just a hint of age-toning to the pages but the 27 black-and-white photograph?s and numerous diagrams are all clean and sharp. The dust wrapper is in near fine condition with the edges and corners showing very little wear and showing a $6.95 price on the rear flap. There is just the smallest hint of wear at the folds and a touch of color-toning to the back fold. The author was ?one of the worlds greatest experts on the salmon? and apparently lived and worked in England. This book describes the natural history of the salmon and ?the different stages of its strange and wonderful life cycle.? 192 pages. Seller Inventory # 1505-1178
