About the Book

Bibliographic Details

Title: Sailor Song.

Publisher: Viking, New York

Publication Date: 1992

Edition: Advance Reading Copy

A Fine unread copy in glossy paper wraps. This is the Advance Uncorrected Proof of Kesey's last novel. The story is set in an Alaskan village and is cock full of edgy characters with names like Alice the Angry, the Bakatcha Bandit, Billy the Squid all members of the Loyal Order of Underdogs who meet monthly for the Full Moon Howl. When a Hollywood studio yacht arrives to film a classic children's book--"The Sea Lion" coincidently one that Kesey wrote--the village and its strange inhabitants experience unscripted transformations. The book had a rather large first printing of the trade edition (100,000 copies) which make the Advance copies far less common. Bookseller Inventory # 23873
