About this Item
Narrow 4to. (25 cm.) 12p. text in English, French, German and Italian with folding map 9 x 33" in the original mailing envelope. Map printed one side in color with inset maps of Port-Said, an Index Map showing the vicinity of the Suez Canal and a Profile Map of the Suez Canal. Scale : 200,000. All in a color card stock folder with a vignette of the stature of Ferdinand De Lesseps on the front panel set in a field of blue. No date listed, but the text refers to the passage of 6,000 steamers in 1932. Wrappers clean and bright, some rust on the staples, corners square and flat, folding map in fine condition, else near fine to fine with no internal markings. Original mailing envelope printed in black shows quite a bit of wear where it opens, but it is mostly all there. Unusual to have the mailing envelope. A very fine depiction of the Suez Canal with some history in the text. Seller Inventory # 008232
