Octavo, bound with two metal tabs at the spine. [5]pp. of text, followed by four leaves with tipped-in silver gelatin print photographs with printed captions. Binding in poor condition, with covers and a few leaves detached, but no content conspicuously missing. Text and potographs well-preserved; overall in good condition. A unique typescript report on the sewage plant just south of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, ust about a decade following its original construction. The text is brief, and ever so slightly juvenile in tone, so this was likely a high school report, or possibly some other kind of research project. Nevertheless, the structure and fuction of the plant is well-described, and the four photograhs clearly show what the author describes as the four "Main Divisions" of the plant, namely: the Screen Chamber, the Digester, the Control House, and the Rotary Distributor. Though fragile, still a great piece of midcentury vernacular photography documenting the infrastructure landscape of a south-central Pennsylvania town. Seller Inventory # 9171
