First UK edition with dust wrapper. Black boards with gilt lettering on the spine. Moderate discolouration and foxing on page edges, moreso at the head edge. Light thumbing of endpapers and pastedowns. Head and tail of spine lightly bumped. Binding is neat and tidy. Pages lightly browned, this halos each page. Previous owner's bookplate on front free endpaper (see image). Else book is in good condition. Dustwrapper is rubbed and lightly stained. Back cover bears scratches and some scuff marks. Spine is sunned. General discolouration. Price clipped, else in good condition. *We always describe the faults of our books meticulously; they usually present better than they sound.
